Flooding in Iowa to the Great River Road in Illinois?
We intend to take the Great River Road Galena, Illinois, and head south along the Mississippi River. With the floods in Iowa, there is no reason why it should re-plan the trip? I would appreciate any help here … Thank you.
Hello I live in MO and yes we are here below flood. There are several villages along the route of IL and river floods MO. Quincy IL is asking people to sandbag and MO Clarksville is preparing for the worst. Grafton and Alton, with two major stops along the way and Flooded River Road is closed in some areas. In some areas, flooding is also expected to be as large as or worse than it was it was in 93 and I was mad! The bad thing is another of those areas are not flooded, but water is high, many closed because of river ferries. If none of them were traveling, I double checked with them and see if are still active. We also heard warnings that may fail at several levels, if you want to keep an eye on this point. Do not be a disappointment, but if you can not do this trip in another moment he would. I could check out some of these sites have a few minutes to reports of flooding that could better help to plan Your Trip: http://www.weather.gov/view/prodsByState.php?state=il&prodtype=warnings http://www.weather.gov/hic/noaawatch/flood1.shtml%%%% #% 20with NWS 20River 20Forecast 20Locations 20Major% 20Flooding http://www.fema.gov/emergency/reports/2008/nat061608.shtm http://www.beloblog.com/KMOV_Blogs/4warnweather/2008/06 / http://www.disasternews .net / news / article.php? articleid = 2764 http:/http://dot.state.il.us/ / The http://www.greatriverroad- www.greatriversbyway.com/ illinois.org / River Road is a great trip, if you choose to go 's it Please just be careful and be ready to make a detour. Essential Willie Nelson $10.99 With 41 tracks drawn from nine record labels, the two-disc Essential Willie Nelson is impressive in its breadth. Disc one is simply superb; it begins with 1961’s “Night Life,” recorded for the obscure Bellaire label, and moves on to several of Nelson’s early 1960s Liberty recordings, an overlooked gem recorded for Monument in 1964 (“I Never Cared for You”), a cherry-picked selection of his RCA and… |

Greatest Hits $6.33 About as complete a selection of fan and artist favorites as any single-disc Bruce collection could be, this is a surprisingly coherent listen given the many stylistic and attitudinal shifts it charts. The inclusion of only four of Born in the U.S.A.’s seven Top 10 entries leaves space for less obvious choices like “Atlantic City” and four new cuts, among them songs recorded by a briefly reunited … |

Germany: The Rhine and Mosel, the Romantic Road (Travel the World) [VHS] $9.90 This video guide to Germany provides a nice overview of the Rhine and Mosel regions of the country. Though the host, Rick Steves, is given to clumsy descriptions (he calls Rothenburg the “king of medieval cuteness”) and at one point forces us to watch his young son eat a pickle, he is very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He takes us through towns that were once ravaged by World War I… |
