I'm looking for a diagram of the voltage regulator circuit for a motorcycle?
I'm looking for a circuit diagram voltage regulator for a motorcycle GS650 82. I looked at the BMW plans are easy to find on the net but they are different from what I am research. The BMW has 2 son out of the stator coil. A cable is positive and the other ground, where he is like the GS 650 has three son from the stator. Any help would be great. Thank you
It is a standard 3-wire stator – circuit regulation. The three hot AC wires. If you have a load problem is more likely that the stator is bad. The regulator is usually a unit in pots, and you could probably use another similar bike in Japan. Disconnect son of the regulator to the stator, with the bike (must have a good battery.) votage measurement (AC) between the three branches of the stator. The voltage should be exactly the same (+ / – 0.1V) or if you have a bad stator. You can check the resistance between the legs do not work, but a hot test is better.
