Army helmet – Middle Eastern red crescent? Can you identify?
I’ve posted this question once before with some good responses but everybody had a different idea. This was given to me along with a cookbook dated 1957. They aren’t necessarily related but might give a little perspective.

The red crescent makes me believe it has to be Turkish. But could also be Pakistan or Uzbekistan.
I doubt it has any connection with the Islamic Red Crescent society (same as the Red Cross)
