Why is baseball the only team sport that does not start a game / match with a broad face and the back room?
Any other sport I do not see (football / soccer / basketball, hockey, etc.) begins with a coin or a broad face. Is this the only baseball team automatically gets the first visitor possession?
I think it's because football / soccer / basketball / hockey / etc are all timed sport, while baseball is purely 27 outs for each team and the game ended. No matter who gets the first possession in the game that each team receives the same number of outs each entry. Baseball is a very interesting game if you think about it.
