I'm looking to buy a 1986 Honda Elite 80 Scooter? What should I look?
Here is the announcement of the bike, I'm interested in: Honda Elite 80 scooter for sale. Runs great and can go up to 50 mph with an extra passenger. Recommend a new front tire. The engine works well just need some time to warm up. At the odometer reads only 2344 miles on it. I also opened a helmet with the bike BONUS (size L) as shown in picture. You'll need a truck to pick up your order and please call me if you have any questions. Spoke to my the man who sells and he said he did not record approximately five years. Is it worth buying? How much does it cost in California?
I am very familiar with the Honda Elite 80 because I have an elite 87,150. Please note that the 80 cc engine is not enough great for you to drive on highways or roads of California. And since that is a [single air-cooled without a radiator] will probably need check engine about 20,000 miles is an expensive proposition. Insurance on a regular basis in 1986 Honda Elite 80 is about $ 100 for liability coverage. It uses gas of consistent quality and gets about 70 miles per gallon. I would ask the current owner to view all receipts for maintenance, change, namely oil, etc., to see that these routine oil changes have been made. Good luck!
